I feel highly obliged as a prospective youth to respond to this above piece as produced in your October 14th Vol. 736 edition of the Peep News Magazine.

I said prospective youth because the article I am responding to has actually opined that people of my age be expunged from the age bracket of what can be referred to as youth in the proposed National Youth Commission Bill.

The Director of the National Aids Secretariat, Dr. Brtrima Kargbo has told journalists in a press briefing called by the Business Coalition Against Aids in Sierra Leone (BLAASL) on Monday 12th October, that the AIDS pandemic in Sierra Leone is slowing down rather than going up as some pundits have predicted.

The CDIID branch of the police which acts as a internal police investigation mechanism is currently investigating a case against OSD officer Sergeant 1350 Alfred Dumbuya who is a driver attached to OSD Headquarters in which it is alleged he played the role of a Magistrate and endorsed court warrants that sent the widow of the late Vice President, Hon. Christian Kamara-Taylor and her children and relatives to Pademba Road Prisons for three days.

The Sierra Leone Standards Bureau, which is an Implementing Agency of the Ministry of Trade and Industry, has reportedly condemned Ramsey Laboratories as not credible over the issue of the over 5,000 tones of rotten rice imported into Sierra Leone a little over two weeks ago by Premier Trading Company at 3, Wilberforce Street, Freetown, on board the vessel MV Mount Athos.

Pharmacy Board Broke Print E-mail

The Pharmacy Board is dragging it’s feet over quitting their offices (old Morgan Pharmacy) despite the Morgan family having issued them an eviction notice over a year ago.

The Institution appears in dire financial straits. NPA disconnected power supply to the offices recently after the Board failed to meet overdue bills of Le33 million.
