President Dr. Ernest Koroma, has assured a high-powered delegation from both the Kailahun and Kenema Districts that was at the State Lodge past Monday to pledge its unflinching loyalty and support for the All People's Congress (APC) party and government of the Chief Executive that his party and government have no time to be a professional fault finder or to look behind with a view to casting blame on the previous political administration, but that his government is ever determined and resolved to look ahead and move this country forward in real human progress and not just in political deeds of words, only in false and foul propaganda.
Â
The Chief Executive said that the APC party government, at present, has a charge to keep: which is, to deliver to the people of this country, what they rightly deserve.
The over 500 strong men and women delegation from those two districts in the eastern -region, that have acquired a reputation for being eternally SLPP, and led by former SLPP strongman in Kenema city, Mr. Ahmed Sesay, an aspirant for the SLPP symbol in the 2007 presidential and parliamentary elections, said that they have come over to the APC not because the SLPP did anything evil or bad to them, but, because, they have seen president Bai Koroma to be a man of decorum and decency, who marches commitment with action; that president Koroma is not an evil and vindictive individual, but a leader indeed, that is patriotically focused with absolute moderation and self control in his attitude and behaviour.
These virtues, Mr. Ahmed Sesay said, seen in the attitude and behaviour of President Koroma, are worthy of admiration, commendation, and very much indeed deserving of emulation by any African leader for Africa's elevation.
The Kailahun district delegation which was headed and led by Paramount Chief, Sheku Gibril, of Pengua Chiefdom, together with Mr. Ahmed Sesay, of Kenema city, told president Ernest Bai Koroma that it was very much indeed, owing to the political charisma or powerful personal community humanism quality of Mr. Solomon Musa, who was able to convince them to come over to the APC, that caused them to do so.
Mr. Solomon Musa, they repeatedly assured President Koroma, was, and will be the only person for now, to be able to convince them who were once fervent SLPP stalwarts and supporters, to now defect to the APC party, owing to the immense and extreme patriotism and nationalism of President Ernest Bai Koroma.
The high-powered delegation was full of praise for Mr. Solomon Musa who they described as a real and very genuine disciple of President Koroma.
Political Fire Brand of Kenema City, Mr. Ahmed Sesay, who led the Kenema district delegation had in his entourage Section Chiefs; Town Chiefs; Drivers Union; National and Regional Executives of the Bike Riders Union (BRU); Medical doctors; Head Teachers; SLPP Zonal Chairladies/Men; Religious Leaders - Muslim/Christians; Trade Union Representatives from Regional Youth Groups, each of which with at least 1,000 supporters; and the last but no less the least, the TANA Group which comprises the Fullahs, Susus, Madingoes and Marakas.
President Koroma was full of praise and profusely thanked Mr. Solomon Musa, for his charismatic role in effecting the all important 'Membership drive,' which is what should be seen in the actions and moves of any real and properly focused disciple of the leader and chairman of the APC party, who is the President…
"No wonder I have not set eyes on you for quite some long while; little did I know, that you were so very busily engaged in this massive membership drive that I have today seen especially in the Kailahun and Kenema districts delegations; thank you very much indeed for your patience and real industry in this regard" president Koroma said.
The First lady, Mrs. Sia Koroma, who has her paternal roots from Penguah Chiefdom in the Kailahun district, was lost for words with which to express her profound thanks and appreciation to her people for now declaring for the ruling APC party, of which the leader and chairman is her husband, at the instance or instrumentality of Mr. Solomon Musa, whom she described as one of Sierra Leone's political ENIGMAS.
At that very impressive ceremony were the Honourable Vice President, his wife, Mrs. Kadie Sam Sumana - the second lady, and the APC party Secretary General, Mr. Victor Bockarie Foh.
Paramount Chief Sheku Gibril extended an invitation to president Koroma to visit Kailahun district. |
