The First Lady of the Republic of Sierra Leone, Mrs. Sia Nyama Koroma, whose paternal home, that is to say, her father's mother, and brother by the name of M'baimba Koroma, who was an uncle of the late first lady's father, Abu Aiah Koroma, and her father's father; name TOEGEKE, - a renowned WARRIOR name in his time in the YAWEH Chiefdom, Pejeh West, and Pejeh Bongre and Pengoya, now Constituency 8, in the Kailahun district, has indeed VOWED to 'CRACK' Kailahun district by massively and immensely splitting the electoral votes in favour of the ruling All People's Congress Party come the 2012 Presidential and Parliamentary elections.

She made this commitment in joyful glee and acknowledgement during the courtesy call and visit paid to her at the State lodge past Monday by a very high powered delegation from the Kailahun district in particular, headed and led by Paramount Chief Sheku Gibrila of Pengoya Chiefdom, in the Kailahun district, to pledge its unflinching and total support for the APC party which is being chaired and led by their son-in-law and brother-in-law, president Ernest Bai Koroma, in that, she, the first lady, is their daughter and niece.

The Kailahun district delegation contained political heavyweights like the Chiefdom Speaker for Pejeh Chiefdom - Chief Kposia; political fire-brand and orator; S.S. Amara, who had served as Treasury Clerk in all the fourteen (14) Chiefdoms in the Kailahun district and whose father is one of the Section Chiefs in Pejeh Chiefdom, Kailahun district; the Town Chief of Bunumbu - Chief Alpha; Town Chief for Kaineh Yaweh Chiefdom… Chief Samu Lahai, a host of other former SLPP political heavyweights, and the last but no less the least, Mr. Solomon Musa who was Chairman for that glorious occasion at the State Lodge that past Monday night and was credited with INITIATING the massive defections to the APC. Said the first lady to her people: "I feel profoundly and immensely gratified by this honour you have this night expressed to me in the presence of my very dearest husband whom you have just addressed as your son and brother-in-laws; may I also now, most respectfully HANDOVER to you, this my very and dearest husband, for your love, care, attention and everything; may Jehovah God's Grace, be with us all eternally".

The first lady's closing remarks were greeted with thunderous applauses and cheers from her Kailahun district relatives for a little over one minute, when political fire-brand - S.S. Amara had to solemnly appeal for quiet in order that the ceremony may proceed with the atmosphere of tranquility it very rightly deserved.

Paramount Chief Sheku Gibrila, profusely thanked President Koroma for his keen commitment and action to do the Kenema-Koindu road and again fervently appealed to the Chief Executive whom he was thus addressing as their son-and-brother-in-laws to please! Please! Think again of taking the Bunumbu Teachers College back to where it was established and founded in the early 1930s.

This plea by Paramount Chief Sheku Gibrila was very much profusely buttressed by Mr. S.S. Amara with tears almost running down his eyes.

The Kenema District delegation was led by political populist - Mr. Ahmed Sesay and Dr. Jakite, a medico of profound standing in Kenema town.

With the defection of Mr. Makaya to the APC from the SLPP, where he was one of the latter party's TRUSTEES, only goodness knows what will be the electoral stand of the SLPP as against the APC party in the 2012 presidential and parliamentary elections in Kenema town and district.

It should be noted that H.E. Ernest Bai Koroma was virtually chased out of the two districts during the 2007 elections which he eventually won.

This paper can authoritatively conclude that based on the present membership drive led by Solomon D. Musa, 2012 will be different in the two districts.
