Hon. Jacob Koroma, the sitting Parliamentarian for Masimera, is in the limelight again after scandals about land grabbing and husk rice fraud.
Villagers in the village of Bikie which sits a few meters from Konta Line, have complained of the MP’s brutish way of treating his constituents.
On the 18th October, 2009, the MP is said to have given orders for a Catholic School called St. George’s Secondary School to be demolished all because, according to the M.P, he was not informed when the school was going to be established.
It was during this demolition process that a scuffle ensued between supporters of Hon. Koroma and the school authorities.
A young man called Musa Thullah who protested the MP’s action was given a good beating allegedly in the bribes of the MP.
According to a resident of Bikie village, fear has gripped Masimera since Hon. Koroma because their MP in 2007.
“Jacob has made this place unbearable to live in his - thugs are always in the rampage terrorizing us all,” the female resident said sadly.
Police at Masiaka Police Station have confirmed to this press that a report was made to them about the alleged assault on Musa.
Hon. Jacob, when contacted said simply that he will not comment on a matter that is currently under investigation. |
