The Sierra Leone Police Procurement Officer, Mr. Macco Sesay, is reported to have awarded a contract to fullah businessman, believed to be worth over Le250m, for the building of the Hastings Police fence.

Though the fence was said to have been built over 3 years ago, it could not be seen to be commensurate with that amount.

However, the Project was reportedly done with the claimed grace of the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Brima Acha Kamara.

According to Mr. Macco Sesay, he was said to havetold the CDIID, that the documents of the contract had been taken by the Inspector General of police, Mr. Brima Acha Kamara.

The CDIID officials were reportedly quite afraid of Mr. Acha Kamara, so they never asked him.

When Peep reporter contacted the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Brima Acha Kamara, to through light on the issue, he said that the contract was performed, but the money was not to that amount.

In another development, one Mr. Sawyer Karrow-Kamara, a relative of a Police Officer, at Kingtom Police Barracks, when the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Brima Acha Kamara recently resumed office, after his one month leave abroad, Mr. Karrow-Kamara was said to have uttered these words: "this Pa (Acha Kamara) has gone, I don't think of him coming back".

Sources say that the matter was reported to the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Brima Acha Kamara.

What the I.G.P. reportedly did was to write the man (Karrow-Kamara) and asked him to leave the police Barracks even though the young Karrow-Kamara is reportedly doing his masters programme.
