The 'super' nature of the first chairman and current godfather of the All Works Of Life Organisation, (AWOL), Mr. Moseray Fadika, seems to have rubbed off on the organization itself. The big-hearted AWOL which prides itself on its patriotism and whose members run through all sectors of society, on Saturday, 16th January, played the role of 'Batman' as it went to the aid of some residents of the sleepy village of Fogbo who lost their homes on the 28th December, 2009, after they were gutted by a mysterious fire.

Donning its Good Samaritan gear, AWOL rushed in 23 bags of Basmati rice, 40 bundles of zinc and almost new used clothing with even the Samsonite to keep them, all to the total value of Le16m.

AWOL was reacting to the cry for help from the people of Fogbo who lost 48 out of 100 houses leaving over 500 men, women and children homeless, penniless and hopeless.

"Although they are over thirty miles from the city," Mr. Moseray Fadika told his audience at the Fogbo Court Barry that "they are our brothers and sisters and it is just natural for AWOL to weep with those who weep".

Mr. Fadika offered prayers for the people of Fogbo and promised that this will not be the last but that if the donations are utilized well, they should look forward to more help in future.

The present chairman of AWOL, Hon. Chernor Bah, aka Chericoco, said that AWOL is a non-partisan organization which has as its members people from all the political parties.

Hon. Bah disclosed that the cash used to purchase the items was money donated by members. He applauded the gesture of Guarantee Trust Bank for acting as aside-kick to AWOL and donating 10 bags of rice.

He also assured the residents of Fogbo that AWOL's heart will always be with them.

The Headman of the village, which main business is salt making and fishing, expressed his appreciation to AWOL on behalf of his subjects.

He said that he was thankful for the gesture.
