The Inspector General of Police, Mr. Brima Acha Kamara, has in an interview with Peep Magazine, swiftly denied claims that he did receive the sum of Le27 million to paint the Operation Policy and Planning Department Wall (O.P.P.D), of the Sierra Leone Police, at Murray Town, three years ago, just about the time for the Kabbah political administration to give way to the President Ernest Bai Koroma government of September, 2007.

This medium, on hearing that the former Acting Inspector General of Police, Mr. Morray Lenghor, last year, spent, just Le1.5 million to do the painting of the same wall, cross checked with Mr. Lenghor, who replied that he indeed spent only Le1.5 million for the panting of the O.P.P.D. wall at Murray Town.

The Procurement Officer of the Sierra Leone Police at Police Headquarters at George Street, Freetown, Superintendent Marco Sesay, when reached by Peep magazine with a view to him clearing the air that he too allegedly had a hand in the deal, replied that as far as he was concerned, he has no knowledge of the claimed sum of Le27m for the painting of the O.P.P.D. wall at Murray Town.
