Five feet six inches tall Dr. Olabasi Claudius Cole of West End Clinic, Edwards Street, played the giant detective on Friday, 12th February, when she got information that thieves were ransacking her father's house at 8 Syke Street.
According to the doctor, she ran to the scene like a flash. "It was around 7.30am when I entered the gates," Dr. Cole told Peep. "I found two men carting away on air conditioner, I growled at them and both of them frozed dropping their loot".
Dr. Cole said that the two men were so frightened that they did not offer any resistance when she made a citizen's arrest. She then handed them to the Adelaide Street Police Station.
The two burglars, Akmed Sankoh and Dauda Koroma, both motor mechanics pleaded guilty to the offence when they appeared before Magistrate Shyllon at Court 3 on Tuesday 16th February, and they each got six months imprisonment.
