President Ernest Bai Koroma has now been seen to turn his timetable to the Health and Sanitation Ministry, Bravo! Mr. President….
Veteran politicians who spoke to our reporter endorsed that it is now most appropriate for the president to make the health ministry his next target after he has re-engineered new life in the Energy, Power, Trade, Information and Agriculture ministries.
According to reports, the President is fully determined not only to re-engineer, but also cleaning up the health ministry which has been in total mess for decades.
The president, according to reports, has also turned his attention to the health ministry in order to upgrade the conditions of service for all doctors and other medical practitioners.
Mr. President is also determined to intervene in the health ministry to root out the corrupt system that has rocked that ministry for decades.
"The siphoning of donor funds into their private bank accounts, stealing of government drugs, etc, will soon come to an end especially when he has Mohamed Koroma as Minister. "Mohamed Koroma is reportedly the President's blue eyed boy and he is always determined to do the work of his master successfully," a senior APC stalwart told our reporter.
President Ernest Bai Koroma has continued to show complete signs of a decent gentleman and a different type of a leader Sierra Leone has got after Sir Milton Margai.
Even before he wont he 2007 presidential and parliamentary elections, to now, President Koroma's agenda for change has never been changed, neither his focus been diverted by detractors. His list of priorities as how to tackle the major problems that have destroyed this country ever since after independence remains unchanged and dealt with accordingly.
When he took over office, the president announced to the nation that his first priority in order to cushion the people's suffering was light. He promised to complete the three decades long Bumbuna Hydro Electric power with a lump sum to the tune of over Forty Million British Pound Sterling as a payoff to the contractors.
