The head of Faith Alliance for Slavery and Human Trafficking Mr. Jonathan Bambara has ended a training session with journalists' country wide in Bo.

Speaking with a journalist from Lungi Mr. Dauda Jalloh, he pointed out that though slavery has been abolished centuries ago, it is sad to say that the issue is still causing a lot of problems that affect the human race.

According to him society today terms its activities as Modern Day Slavery in which he categories it into three main elements namely the Act, means and purpose of human trafficking.

He further goes on to explain how the issue of human trafficking circulates around these three wherein victims are trapped out from various sections of life with the verge of transforming their lives from the deadly plague of poverty to an upgrading face of catapultment towards the new era of life's challenges. These target groups always goes in for the less privilege who only dreams about a better hope for tomorrow. Pending this predicament, they are blind folded with money as a first step which grabs the desires of their prey converting to a glorious mood of celebration with the song 'God don butter me brad'. But this is for a short while as they soon discover that their dreams have been shattered, only to realize it was all a nightmare.

There has never being a clean intension as the only motives generated by their captives is to use them as slaves with great struggle and no freedom or better still be introduced into prostitution or even worst still be used for rituals.

He stated that this is not the first training session and that through its foundation from 2004 till date the unit has an organized training session which involves lawyers, pastors, medical doctors' paramount chiefs and so on.

He calls for journalists to use the media to sensitize the nation about this venture and what damage it is bringing to nation as this is the main reason why they decided to have dialogue training with journalists as they represent the eye and ears of the people.

He mentioned that the government is right on check to pursue all perpetrators who are indulged in this human act.
