The First Lady of the Republic of Sierra Leone, Mrs. Sia Nyama Koroma, whose paternal home, that is to say, her father's mother, and brother by the name of M'baimba Koroma, who was an uncle of the late first lady's father, Abu Aiah Koroma, and her father's father; name TOEGEKE, - a renowned WARRIOR name in his time in the YAWEH Chiefdom, Pejeh West, and Pejeh Bongre and Pengoya, now Constituency 8, in the Kailahun district, has indeed VOWED to 'CRACK' Kailahun district by massively and immensely splitting the electoral votes in favour of the ruling All People's Congress Party come the 2012 Presidential and Parliamentary elections.

Dear beer lovers,

Since the early 1960's Sierra Leone Brewery has been renowned for the production and marketing of high quality beers and its positive contribution to Sierra Leone.

You may have seen the recent articles published by the Standard Times with respect to the quality of the Star and Guinness beer brands produced locally at the Sierra Leone Brewery and the imported Heineken beer brand.

His Excellency, the beloved president, Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma, was this week heard on radio lambasting, or attacking and criticizing very severely, especially those very, very corrupt Civil and Public Servants in his government.

President Dr. Ernest Koroma, has assured a high-powered delegation from both the Kailahun and Kenema Districts that was at the State Lodge past Monday to pledge its unflinching loyalty and support for the All People's Congress (APC) party and government of the Chief Executive that his party and government have no time to be a professional fault finder or to look behind with a view to casting blame on the previous political administration, but that his government is ever determined and resolved to look ahead and move this country forward in real human progress and not just in political deeds of words, only in false and foul propaganda.

Day by day, Sierra Leonean consumers, APC, SLPP and PMDC supporters alike, are apparently getting fed up with the APC administration for its seemingly inconsistent role and also its perceived inability to cushion this almost daily uninhibited high cost of living, in short, its inability to control prices. What a shame!

The 'super' nature of the first chairman and current godfather of the All Works Of Life Organisation, (AWOL), Mr. Moseray Fadika, seems to have rubbed off on the organization itself. The big-hearted AWOL which prides itself on its patriotism and whose members run through all sectors of society, on Saturday, 16th January, played the role of 'Batman' as it went to the aid of some residents of the sleepy village of Fogbo who lost their homes on the 28th December, 2009, after they were gutted by a mysterious fire.

The Chief Campaigner of the Environmental Justice Foundation, Duncan Coplan has heaped praises on the minister of Fisheries and Marine Resources, Haja Afsatu Kabba for putting measures in place that would address the rampant illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing practices in the country.
